The relief of the Saint Gotthard at the National Museum of Zürich
What explains why Switzerland has become what it is or what it seems to be today? The installation “Ideas of Switzerland”, located at the entrance of the new building of the National Museum, addresses this issue. The writings of Etterlin, Calvin, Rousseau and Dunant, as well as the Dufour map and the relief of the Saint Gotthard invite the visitor to discover ideas about Switzerland and to decrypt them.
The replica of the relief of the Gotthard, carved in granite and augmented with virtual contents plunges the visitor into the geographical, demographic and socio-economic exploration of Switzerland. Vidinoti is proud to have participated in the realization of this installation by developing the augmented reality application based on Google’s Tango solution.
